Shane Vogel's "'When the Little Dawn was Gray': Cabaret Performance and the Harlem Renaissance" has recieved the Dean's Outstanding Dissertation Award in the Humanities. This award recognizes excellence in the preparation and completion of the Ph.D. dissertation. The formal presentation of the award takes place at the Graduate School of Arts and Science Convocation at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
