Congratulations to Professor Karen Shimakawa, who has been awarded the 2007 David Carter-Payne Award. The David Payne-Carter Award is an award presented to the Tisch School Of The Arts faculty member whom students have selected as best instilling a deepening comprehension and enthusiasm for the arts as well as a desire to seek further knowledge. The award is named in honour of the late David Payne-Carter, esteemed teacher of the Undergraduate Drama Department, who exemplified the qualities recognised by this award.
